Meh. An offensive assistant can be an entry level job or a senior adviser. Seems most likely that in this case it is an entry level job. Not sure why you hate on the man who was promoted before he deserved it... the guys who put him there are the ones to blame and make fun of for being stupid.

One day, Hostler may eventually be a decent offensive assistant. He's been getting more experience and I have to believe he learned something from the disastrous season where Norv bailed on us and left him to pick up the pieces.
Maybe somewhere else he wouldn't suck? Who knows.

He was gawd awful the one year he ran the offense, but him being a WR coach for the Ravens during the Super Bowl made it that much more bitter once the dust settled on the game.
After beating McCarthy/GB and Nolan/ATL, the cherry on top would've been beating Hostler and the Ravens.

Nobody is "hating" on Jim Hostler. Everyone is laughing at the Bills because he sucks and they still hired him. That isn't his fault, but the team deserves to be laughed at for making a bonehead decision. Whether he is qualified for the job or not, him sucking at what he does will always come up when you speak of him.
We used to make these kinds of bonehead decisions back when we sucked. Everyone laughed at us.
