A lot of this has to do with Trestman. This is what happens when you end up with a guy who is an absolute offensive encyclopedia, who Bill Walsh considered to be an offensive genius and a guy who has a long history of working with a wide variety of NFL quarterbacks. Trestman managed to turn Scott Mitchell into a Pro-Bowl QB even.
