This year, Ted Ginn has over 400 receiving yards for KC. That is more than his total with the 49ers for 2 seasons.

no he doesnt

ok and he had plenty of chances in sf and failed..dropped way to many passes..he was only great at returns..even in Miami he was a bad wr..they drafted him 7th overall and traded him to us for a 5th round pick..that should tell the story right..?

Right, and that person does not take the ball from center or throw the ball.

the only way to build is to be repetitive.

they had kyle williams on the field half the season when that could have been time building chemistry with baldwin. when he played against the rams kap trusted him to make tight throws to him and baldwin came down.

i don't understand why the coaches make it harder on the players than it has to be.
someone makes a catch..unless its vd crab or boldin guaranteed they're out on the next play and probably next 4 plays and then expected to come in and make another catch..with no rhythm.

same with the passing offense. if you don't go aggressive how can we get yards?
open up the offense completely is the only way to win against anyone

if we open up the offense all season long and stick to the power run while opening up the passing game we're sitting here at 11-1

easy.

cols game just run the ball we win.

panthers...score more than 10 points

saint's game.. attack a 9 man front instead of insisting on passing to the fullback and wondering why we can't move the ball down the field

P.S. Most of your post has NOTHING to do with what we are talking about here. John Baldwin.
Baldwin will catch the Superbowl winning TD

Indeed they have. If only simple stats told the whole story. The only way their record is the be all end all of what team is better is if both teams played the same exact teams on neutral fields at full strength and the games were perfectly officiated.

The 49ers have only lost two road games, one in Seattle where visiting teams have a nearly impossible chance of playing offence, and the other to the #2 seed in the NFC in the Saints, a game the 49ers would have won had it not been for a ridiculous flag on Ahmad Brooks. In all their other road games they absolutely dominated the opposition.

The Seahawks...
  1. only scored 12 points, all field goals, in their win against the Panthers.
  2. barely beat the Texans, who the 49ers destroyed, on the last play of the game after being down 20-3 at half time.
  3. lost to the Colts in Indy.
  4. scored a total of 14 points in a weak win at St Louis, a team the 49ers destroyed at home and on the road

So even though they won 3 of those 4 games they were lucky to win any of them and looked pretty bad in all four games. Record matters most in the end but it sure as heck doesn't tell the whole story of how a team played. As you can see when looking at four of the Seahawks road games in which they went 3-1 even though they did not look good in any of them.

you gotta look at the big picture. in 2012 the hawks played like s**t on the road and lost some games late, in miami, in detroit and maybe another game or two. this year, while they arent scoring 30 ppg on the road, they've learned to pull those games out. people can call it flukes or miracles but i see a young team that has learned to be mentally tough enough on the road to close the deal, something they could not do the year prior.

see id disagree by saying he had lots of chances in kc..he started 2 yrs and played a lot as a rookie..but he had cassel throwing him the ball compared to kap who will be if he had a chance here..so idk

He was only there two years, not three, and no, he did not start every game in both of them and was hurt in his rookie camp so didn't have a chance to catch on right away.

By this logic we should have dumped Vernon Davis after two years because his production was similar to Baldwin's (albeit a little better) his first two years (even though Vern got WAY more playing time and opportunities on a team with no WRs to speak of).

Baldwin has not had a chance to show what he is capable of. I'm not saying he would be great if and when he ever does but making any judgement at this point is foolish.

You missed the whole point. I understand they pulled those games out at the end, but the point was the W does not, in any way, speak to the quality of football the team that got the W played in said game.
Convert him a into a TE and watch him blossom with mismatches. The fact that Kyle Williams was "golden" all through the preseason and was never in jeopardy of being cut before the season even though he had proven d!ck while being here for 3 years and then handed a roster spot and started a bunch of games tells me that we are all wrong to think this kid has no worth here. Until he gets that type of room to prove he's a total nothing like most of us knew KW eventually would do, I will reserve judgement on him.

all i see is you trying to diminish some of their road performances. whether or not sf pasted houston has nothing to do with seattle coming back on them. one could argue since they played houston a week before us, that they totally smashed houston confidence going forward and thus aiding sf the next week. you're playing this style points game where we beat this team by 20+ points, so they should too. thats not how the league works. 2 months ago they were apparently a s**tty road team, now we're attacking the style points in which they win. they dont ask how, they ask how many. they've clearly gotten over the hump they've had playing on the road. having said that, i expect us to win at home. its not always pretty in this league, you're going to struggle sometimes, and what i see of them on the raod is a team that used to find ways to lose, now finding a way to win.
this thread has officially been derailed.

seahawks vs niners
