Why would the NFL not Flex the Lambs @ 49ers instead of 4-7 Giants @ 3-8 Redskins??????

I thought flex scheduling started in Week 14, not Week 13.

Apparently, it started in week 11 . . .

NFL Flexible Scheduling 101
  • Begins Sunday of Week 11
  • In effect during Weeks 11-17
  • Only Sunday afternoon games are subject to being moved into the Sunday night window.
  • The game that has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday night during flex weeks will be listed at 8:15 p.m. ET.
  • The majority of games on Sundays will be listed at 1:00 p.m. ET during flex weeks except for games played in Pacific or Mountain Time zones which will be listed at 4:05 or 4:15 p.m. ET.
  • No impact on Thursday, Saturday or Monday night games.
  • The NFL will decide (after consultation with CBS, FOX, NBC) and announce as early as possible the game being played at 8:15 p.m. ET. The announcement will come no later than 12 days prior to the game. The NFL may also announce games moving to 4:05 p.m. ET and 4:15 p.m. ET.
  • Week 17 start time changes could be decided on 6 days notice to ensure a game with playoff implications.
  • The NBC Sunday night time slot in "flex" weeks will list the game that has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday night.
  • Fans and ticket holders must be aware that NFL games in flex weeks are subject to change 12 days in advance (6 days in Week 17) and should plan accordingly.
  • NFL schedules all games.
  • Teams will be informed as soon as they are no longer under consideration or eligible for a move to Sunday night.
Because they are not.
NYC market is probably 5X bigger than SF and STL COMBINED.

East coast bias and the NFL has a hard on for Mannings. Look how much Peyton and Eli have been primetime already this year albeit the Giants V. Packers game was flexed out of a Sunday night game.
I live in Vegas and don't always get Niner games on local TV.

I hate going to the casinos to watch them because of the cigarette smoke.

So, as long as I can get to watch the game I don't care what time it's on.
There are beings higher than us that knows what's good for us. Move or get Direct TV.

NY-Washington is a bigger market.

Lets see, Eli vs RG3 or Clemens vs Kap? Makes obvious sense IMO, ratings wise. Plus east coast bias.
Because the Niners b***h slapped the Rams on Thursday night football early in the season and Bradford isn't starting for the Hams either.

Going to be in Vegas Monday night to watch the Saints vs Seahwks. What's the best place to watch near the Hard Rock Hotel?

Moving from California to Virginia I would say the Redskin vs Giants game has a larger fan base. Sorry but as a whole (excluding the Webzone) California fans do not support teams as rabidly as East Coast fans do. Good example you see just as much Redskin gear in public this year at a bad 3-8 as you did last year when they were 10-6 starting the play-offs. In California you can gauge how well the teams are doing by the display of team memorabilia. If the Lakers are 50-10 every other car has a Laker flag on the antenna, if they are 30-30 you will see one of those a week if at all.
the nfc east is really, really s**tty. yet their games are always on primetime. east coast bias
