The talent that was producing before, is producing now, with better QB play, Crabtree became a better threat, even with the OL I haven't seen much overall improvement.
People regret that the 49ers didn't add Doug Baldwin in 2011, but realistically, why should anyone expect that he'd be the same type of player with the 49ers? To me that's the biggest gap between Seattle and the 49ers, they have a good offensive system that spreads the field and creates a lot of mismatches with comparably little talent at WR. They seem to maximize the talent of their players. I don't see that from the 49ers coaching staff on the offensive side. On the defense its unmistakable, you see the improvement at DL, at LB, in the secondary, why there's such a void on offense, I do not know, but I do feel it starts with the incoherent, gimmick oriented playcalling.
Ok so we havent had a top 5 rushing attack over the past 3 years? Our Oline wasn't deemed the best in the NFL postseason? I guess we made it to the Superbowl inspite Romans offense. Crabtrees dynamic 1000 yard season was a fluke. Davis is on pace to have his greatest season yet and has been playing like the best TE in the league purely by chance. Clearly the coaching staff is doing something right. I mean seriously I'll admit we could probably get better but no improvement? Give me a break they lost every WR they had last season. If it's an excuse for Kaeps it should be for the coaches too. Also give me a break on that biggest difference stuff. That Seattle offense is not this prolific thing you have tried to paint it out to in order to diminish our coaches. They have a mobile QB that causes plays to break down. Everything is based on the run game. When they spread it out it's really not that complicated. They exploit single coverage with out routes and go routes.
