Should it be a choice by the team to be on "Hard Knocks"?

The NFL is trying to spread ``Hard Knocks'' around. At their fall meetings Tuesday, owners approved a measure that allows the league to choose which team will be the focus of the documentary-style show if no club volunteers. Certain teams would be exempt from being forced to participate in the filming: - those with new coaches; - those that reached the playoffs in one of the previous two seasons; - those that appeared on ``Hard Knocks'' within the preceding 10 years. So far, only seven of the 32 NFL teams have been on the series, which airs on HBO: Dallas Cowboys (twice), Cincinnati Bengals (twice), New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Kansas City Chiefs. http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/sports-nfl/20131008/20131008124256796776008/

Just more motivation for Harbaugh to never miss the preseason lol
That said, I personally wouldn't want our team on Hardknocks. Perhaps I'm paranoid, but I don't like the idea of having potential divisional spies on our premises.
Find out what the fine would be and pay it in advance.

I thought of this before I even opened the thread. I'm sure the NFL will say pay us 1-2 mill so we can use it to market other stuff.

Arians would fight effort to force Hard Knocks onto Cardinals http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/10/08/arians-would-fight-effort-to-force-hard-knocks-onto-cardinals/
Im sure Harbaugh and Baalke would fight it too. http://blogs.sacbee.com/49ers/archives/2013/10/hard-knocks-it-would-drive-49ers-baalke-bonkers.html

What kind of retarded owners would vote that this is a good idea?
We remain exempt from it by 1.) hiring a new HC every year or 2.) making the playoffs at least every other year. Easy enough.

We are, but I still think it's unfair to put any team on that show that doesn't want to be there. Nice to see someone (Bruce Arians) is taking a stand against the league.

I would be upset as a coach if I was forced to join Reality TV.
