I don't know what Harbaugh was talking about when he said Crabtree has some of the best hands in the league. He has some of the worst hands in the league. He dropped so many passes from Kaep and Smith and really hurt their stats.
That's probably what Richard Sherman saw on film.

Boldin is 34th in yardage with 2 TD catches.
So the Niners let one of their possession receivers go and got a long threat. At this time, both their possession receiver (Boldin) and their long threat (Smith) are out-performing Crabtree.
Those are what we like to call facts.
everyone's starts crash in Oakland. Not saying I agree he's anything special but come on... It's Oakland

The Raiders currently throw a little more than the Niners and every Raider fan believes that Carr is a lot better than Kaepernick. So, Crabtree should be doing better than any Niner receiver if he's really so damn good.
But he's not. Both Boldin and Smith are more productive right now.

Even with the two worst performances of his career, Kaepernick is about right where Carr is now in production and over the last couple games, it's no contest. We'll see if Kaepernick can keep it up.

He has good hands and runs good routes. I totally could have seen him have a Cris Carteresque type career if he was put in the right system. Now he is more in the "what could have been" category.
Agree with all the above. I think injuries also played a part.
I've always suspected conditioning issues as the cause, but either way, a WR needs his legs right to be on the field.

Carr has a way better team around him than Kaep does. Even though I'm not a Crabtree fan, Cooper is better than any 49er receiver since T.O. And their line is much better. He's not getting hit every other passing play.
Kaep is what Elway was to the Broncos in the 80s. But our fans want him gone anyway. I don't get it.

TD for Crabtree, wondering if we should have tried to keep him, but he said he wanted out, so oh well.

It wouldn't matter. We don't have a QB who can consistently get him the ball and our coaches who know how to utilize WRs.

he has 318 yards through 7 games... how does that average out to 1k yards? . also, you should add the fact that he has only 1 TD.

.
And that is not factoring in today's 6 catches for 63 yards and a TD.

1,000 in a pass-friendly offense IS average and common. Like a 1,000 yard rusher in our offense.

I don't care about Crabtree and it's even hard for me to understand how any Niner fan does. The guy never wanted to be on the Niners. He wanted to play in Texas. In his best season, he was a good possession receiver and that's about it.
