On Josh Gordon: #Browns owe it to themselves to answer the phone and listen. Any team would. Worked on Trent, may not get a 2nd for Gordon

Browns-49ers have discussed trade for WR Josh Gordon. Deal unlikely with Mario Manningham coming off PUP, Crabtree slated to return in Nov.
To me there is just no question, of you can get Gordon for a 2nd you DO IT.
Boldin, Gordon, Manningham is a WR group you win a superbowl with. It takes us from having a huge WR problem to giving other teams problems with our huge WR group.
Boldin, Manningham, Williams gets us from having a problem at WR to having less of a problem at WR. But it doesn't make our offense suddenly much harder to defend.
Getting Gordon would open up a lot on offense and could be the move that gets us a sixth ring.
Do it!
I would give no more than a 4th being with his off the field issues and current state with NFL drug policy. Santonio Holmes was delt to the Jets for a 5th round pick coming off a 6 TD 1,248 yards and SB winning catch from PIT. To me Gordon does not have the credentials for a 2nd round pick and with a stout WR class coming out next year I would rather save those picks.
I feel like if Aldon had kept his $*#! together this would have gone down already. But the 9ers are worried about looking like they don't care about off field issues.
To me though, it's really simple:
You have a chance to add a player that could very easily be the difference between winning a superbowl and not, that is under contract, and not expensive
If you agree with that statement (and you may not, it's just my opinion) then it is absolutely worth a 2nd rounder. Especially when YOU HAVE TWO 2nd ROUND PICKS!

All it takes is one more strike for Gordon to be kicked out the NFL. Too risky... Oh yeah Brandon Marshall was also traded for two 3rd round picks. Like I said No to a 2nd for Gordon.

That sounds like an NBA type of trade. Cleveland better just take that 2nd rounder and GTFO

But a 2nd I still think is worth it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Gordon still has multiple years on a cheap contract, right? And Boldin, Crabtree, Manningham, and Baldwin are all in the last year of their deals.
If it really is a 2nd round pick I say it's worth the gamble. Or would you rather look back on another season we could have won the superbowl, but didn't because of a lack of WRs?

why not just give them the second we getting from KC? its going to be a really low second the way the chiefs are playing anyways.

I'd roll the dice and risk a second round pick on a guy with talent like that. Drafting someone is just as risky in my opinion. You're most likely not going to hit on someone with that kind of talent in the second round and there's a chance your second round pick is a total bust. Gordon has already shown he can tear s**t up in the NFL.
I'd offer them a third round pick first though and play hardball since Gordon has all the off the field issues, but definitely give up a 2nd if they don't budge!

Yup and just let Marlon Moore go. Imagine having a receiving core of Gordon, Crabtree, Baldwin, Boldin, Manningham, and Patton.
