After we got rid of him, we still don't have anyone close to Ted Ginn's return ability.
He had one down year and everyone wanted to cut him.

That might be free release off the line with little or no press. If you press Ginn he's not physical enough to blow past defense like that. In between the CB and the Safety, someone messed up.
Edit: I was thinking of the other long catch by Ginn. On this one he gets a free release.

Ginn occasionally did that for the 49ers. Remember the 70+ yard TD against the Ravens that was called back due to a penalty?

ginn sucked for us last year and that is what i go off of. . for what he did last year, he did not deserve to come back. we will never miss him as a wide out ,esp with the kids who have stepped up. in regards to kick returns, we got several guys including the hawk who can more than fill his role. in regards to punt returns, he ran five yards out of bounds all the time last year,,, based on that,,, did not care we cut him, did not care he is no longer on the team, do not care what he does in the future

Wait till it's a real game and he'll choke.

He's always been a tremendous return man. That is not new. He will make an occasional play in the receiving game but he is soft, doesn't like to go over the middle, drops some, and runs lazy routes. Same thing he did for us. He can catch an occasional deep ball though.

Think you have him mixed up with Kyle Williams.
This is from the Superbowl, the definition of clutch in the middle of the comeback:
