If true (just thinking of the McCoy rumours) I hope we get a decent pick for him, he's a good player ad good pass rusher.

More importantly, I think this is a sign that they really like Skuta and Lemonier.

Guess the dont remember what happened last season with all the injuries.

Keep haralason. We have no idea what shape dial and carridine are going to be in

#FireBaalke

Dial and Carradine don't play OLB, dude.

From a rushing the qb perspective is what i meant.
I don't like this idea. He's a VERY good depth player that we NEED. We don't want to be in a crap situation like last year. He's only on a one-year deal. We can draft another replacement or use Cam Johnson next year.

They have to keep Lemonier and probably want to keep Skuta for ST....so you probably don't keep 5 OLBs.

Skuta has also played pretty well, this might be trying to maximize Haralsons trade value as well as a cap move? Better get at least a 3rd for him.

For an 8 year-veteran who didn't play last year and has only averaged 3.5 sacks the 3 years prior?

Not going to happen.
I would rather keep him. I would love to see a nice rotation to keep Aldon fresh and ready to rush the passer with energy. Sort of like 2011 except playing Aldon more and having Parys come in just to spell him.

Must mean they like Lemonier and Skuta as a ST ace/ backup. Or they just want to clear a little cap space and possibly get some future picks.

This.

Haralson is better than Skuta, but Skuta is a very good special teamer. To me, this moves says they really like Lemonier and SOMEONE has to go to make room for a special teams specialist to make the roster.

I like Harlason and was glad to see him back...but he's on a very small contract and has starting potential....this would be the best time to get something in exchage for him.

This...I'm looking at 4th-6th rounder.
Not surprised to hear this. We have some nice depth at OLB. I like Haralson, but Lemonier-Skuta-Johnson have done a fine job. Lemonier has looked so explosive, he should be the 3rd OLB. Someone has to go from this group because we won't keep 6 OLBs.

Hell...I don't think they keep 5. I think Johnson can still go on the PS.
Roster flexibility is key in the NFL, so Skuta (who can play OLB, ILB and special teams) is simply more valuable right now than Haralson.

A third is high, I'll agree but if its a lower round it would be better to keep him on the team. A 4th or 5th is allot more likely.

I agree with you this doesn't sound good hes had a very good preseason it would suck to have to let him go watching him play in preseason i was already thinking he looks like hes gong to have a good season.
I don't like this. After last year, you'd think they'd realize the importance of depth.

You may be right about that. 5 is a lot to keep too, considering we only kept 3 the past couple years. We might be able to stash Johnson on the PS for another year.
I'm 50/50 on this. Dude has been playing outta his mind this preseason. Maybe not as good this week, but you have to admit he looked like a starter those first two weeks.
I don't think we get much for him...was really looking forward to him coming in and giving our guys a breather. Would rather keep him and keep everyone fresh all year. he's one of, if not the best, backup LBs we have.
That being said, we're still stacked at LB this year, no question.
