Because we don't play back yard football. Let the qb find what he can on the field. If they are going to do that, they might as well throw Roman away and let him walk. There is such a thing as calling the plays to set up another down the road for even bigger gain.

He outplayed Tolzien last pre-season tho. Not just statistically; he just flat out threw the ball better. Of course I trust the coaches opinion over mine, but I'm not a fan of Tolzien. Smart player, but very limited arm talent.

I know this is a week later, but I just happened to be watching a replay of the Dolphins-Jags game from last week. I don't put much stock into preseason, but the first offensive drives for both teams were just awful. I mean Tannehill looked horrible and Gabbert was even worse. Now Miami didn't have Wallace and Jax didn't have MJD but still. In fact both teams looked literally retarded in their first 2 off. series compared to how the Niners execute. So glad we're not them.
