The Forty-Niners and Rams Thread

When I consider the Niners history, I only take into account '57, '70-'72, '81-'98 and '11-'12. Totally fair.

When Red Alice considers Rams history, the only relevant years are '45, '73-'79 and '99-'01. Totally fair

Just wanted to clear that up.

That made me smile. All is fair in football and war.

I'm very happy with 2012 though. For the first time in years!
I really think the theme of this thread should be shifted to "f**k cortland finnegan he's a little b***h"
At this point I have to move the Niners down to battling for #2 in the NFCW. The injuries have been devastating. Looking like the 2011 Rams. Well, not that bad, but relatively speaking.

Hawks are still solid. Rams have a whole new O and their D is going to be top 5.
49ers will win the NFC West handily!!

Not for me. I think 30 years is plenty of time as an example of dominance. Maybe that's because I'm 30 years old, but I could care less who bested the other in the 1950s. But congrats, Rams fans, you guys knocked the snot out of us in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Regardless, if you don't feel like cherry picking the last 3 decades of relative dominance, then we can just compare trophies over the course of both team's history. Either way, the Rams will always be our little b***h.

Let's just call the one to most recently win a super bowl the superior team.

Apparently, if you think the Rams will always be your b***h, you didn't watch football last season?

No worries, this season the Rams will show you what they did last season, only now with an actual offense. I CAN'T WAIT to come back to this thread game 4!

RamZ wants you to argue with him....he's been getting great response to this on the .Net.
The point of being a fan and rooting on your team year after year is to hopefully be able to enjoy championships. I am 36, so I have enjoyed and can vividly remember the 49ers winning 5 championships. So I tell you what RamzFanz, one day you can give me a call, but you need to wait for a bit because I will only answer on the 5th ring!! ---Kobe Bryant---
Let us not forget that the 49ers are serious Super Bowl contenders whereas the Rams are not and to even suggest that they are is laughable around league circles. The Rams have a good team but the 49ers have a great team. I expect the Rams to step forward next season and for the Hawks to take a step back entering next season

USED to be. You meant used to be super bowl contenders. Before all the injuries.

Now the Niners' secondary is going to leak like a heroine addicts infected arm and the wide receivers will be former gym coaches.

Teams like yours did last year will still this year circle us on their calendars as the measuring stick game and we will win most of our contests again even thoug these same teams have went back to college trying to devise schemes to stop us. The only serious injuries we have are to Crabtree and Cully, everything else will be resolved as the season begins. We have teams like the Steelers not on our schedule studying us and we will still win. We are still going to win this division handily. way too much talk for a team that doesn't even know which city it will be playing games in in 2 seasons.

Yes, they play us tough but you'd have to be seriously delusional to think that the Rams currently belong in any conversation about the Niners.

Maybe in another two or three seasons. But not quite yet.

I know, right? Do you know how many games the Rams actually WON but not officially because they missed some kicks and dropped some passes. It's ridiculous to call those losses. The NFL should have mulligans or take backs or something.
RamzFanz, welcome to the 'Zone. I would suggest you read the Forum Rules before interacting with the native.

I'm going to go ahead and make a list of excuses for the Niners' fans for week 4:

We would have won except (1) We missed a field goal and you made the field goal and that's not fair (2) We dropped passes and that's not fair (3) We were tired and that's not fair (4) We weren't wearing fresh panties and that's not fair.

Pick one when needed.
