Given his history with alcohol, you'd think that the police would have drawn blood or used the breathalizer on him after an accident at 4 in the a.m.. That was kind of surprising.

They said that he showed no signs of impairment. It could really be that he just lost control of the vehicle (maybe was sleepy?). Kind of sucks for him that the one time he didn't do anything he's still being treated like he did by the public.
The price of having a bad reputation, and all that.
