Can we change the Thread title to something a little more accurate?

Source: the Patriots worked out former 49ers DL (and track star) Lawrence Okoye.

If given the task of making a beeline to the qb by straight overwhelming a single opponent, okoye can do that exceedingly well.
He can be a pocket-collapsing rusher as long as hes taking a straight line through whomever to get it done. My sense is that hes more powerful than at least 90% of everyone in the nfl trenches. But, at this point, thats all he can do. A 3rd down rush specialist.
Does a team have a spot for a guy like that?
thats all he can do. this year.

I dont see any team having this guy taking up one of their 53 roster spots, just seems very unlikely, my prediction is that he winds up on the 49ers practice squad again and gets one last crack at it next year.
Wish him well

Exactly. Read between. His achievements are so remarkable, we would rather keep TJE. Whatever happened to winning with class? I guess that's just for the players.

Wow ... you are just looking for a reason to complain. Did you see TJE covering the flat in the last PS game? I think that he fits better with some of the confusion schemes Mangini wants to run. Releasing Okoye early is a favor, to allow him to try and get on with another team (I heard he already worked out for the Patriots). If he doesn't he is still PS eligible. Seems pretty classy to me

They are going to ruin all the great work Jimmy T has put in. Wouldn't be surprise to hear he has a torn ACL by this time next week.

The Cardinals love 49er cast offs.

Got him for insight into our new defensive scheme. Trying to get a jump on us going into week 3
He should play for a year in the CFL - like an apprenticeship.

He needs actual playing experience.

That will help him more than riding the pine for another year.
Ramsey over him though?? I would've let the experiment keep going for one last year/offseason

Best of luck and for us, we hope you stay on the PS.
I hope Lawrence of Okoye gives the Cards some vanilla info and he ends up back on our PS.

"When the quarterbacker steps back to make an overhead toss, Sir Mangini shall send three blokes minimum, but no more than five, to attack the offence."
