Boldin like the guy, and Boldin knows something about wide receivers in the NFL.
If you watched Kaepernick on the sidelines after the score, it sure looked like he appreciates Patton.

If he can be Ochocinco, we have struck 4th round gold

He is what this team needed, a wr who catch, score, and doesnt need a choreographer to design a goofy td dance.

So glad to see Patton did just as expected -- outstanding.
If the guy were picked by us where he should've gone (2nd round), we'd be talking a lot more about him potentially starting. With Crabtree and Manningham out, I personally don't think he's out of the mix at all for being one of the top three receivers on the depth chart this season.

I think while they both love football I think this kids love for football and being the best at what he does along with his sheer natural enthusiasm exceeds crabtrees, i agree with you if he puts up solid numbers and just gets better throughout the season crabs will have himself a competition and the 49ers will have an upper hand in contract negotiations.

We don't know that yet. All we know is he came in and had three catches on third down. Each led to a first down, a touchdown and a facemask against him for another first down, respectively.
The first two plays were with KAep and the first unit. Excellent sign of a player, as JH would say, has an up arrow on his back. Plus, Kaep will trust him on thirds when the Defense focuses on Gore, VD, and Boldin.
