Doesn't Skuta start and Lemonier comes in for pass rush?

Thats how it has gone down in the past. Aldon rotated his first year much like Corey did his rookie year. Corey might be in full time now.

Any examples of Lemonier holding the edge? I don't remember seeing him against the run in preseason.

Nuh uh. Did you see him bull-rush Eric Fisher in the preseason for a sack? He has incredible strength for his size & age.
What pass-rush moves do you see him lacking? A spin move? You know who had one of the best spin moves I've ever seen? Everette Brown.
LOL. Isn't Everette Brown the reason we were able to draft Mike Iupati? That was one of Scot McCloughan's last great moves as a 49er executive.

He was playing some SAM to start the preseason and had quite a few poor rushes up field and/or couldn't disengage blockers that lead to some big runs off T but he did better over on the WILL side overall. He has good hustle and range and will come up with some sacks/QB pressures all the way from the opposite side. His issue is strength at the POA and play recognition (which you have to decide in a splt second at the SAM and a little less at the WILL). He plays mostly WILL so that's better suited for him now. I would not be surprised if he got the majority of the snaps at WILL over Skuta. He's close to ready.

Corey Lemonier rushed the QB more than any other LB on the #49ers vs DAL. He generated ZERO pressures. Skuta & Lynch earned 1 pressure each.Disappointed. I know last year he was rated extremely high by pff but I'm not seeing it. The guy is extremely quick but that's about it. Granted it's an extremely small sample size I'd rather see Lynch out there.

I think we will be seeing a steady rotation of Lemonier, Skuta and Lynch on passing downs. I thought Lynch did a solid job on Sunday.

Rather see them slide brooks over LT and bring lynch in on the other side along with rotating tank through at DT/DE....
lemon plays pretty soft out there, looks likes he's easily redirected/mirrored. .. His quickness without counter moves doesn't translate to results we'd hope for

Disappointed in his play in week 1.Was he only going up against Tyron Smith, who is a very good LT? I could understand if that was the case, although zero pressures is bleh.

Lynch had impact. He pressured romo on the willis pic, deflected a pass, twisted with cowboy to help get a sack. I don't think Fangio worked to set up lemonier very much.

I remember seeing Brooks move over to face Tyron a few plays but I was not paying attention to who the other OLB was so perhaps he got Lemonier got moved or it could've been Skuta?

I guess I was expecting more after a whole season and off-season under his belt. Despite what the numbers said last year it didn't look like he was doing all that much. But I'm not going to pretend to know the finer intricacies of the game. I know you're Damn knowledgeable THL so if he is doing better than it looks please let us know. All I see him doing is the same thing he did last year, come off the snap extremely quick but ends up over shooting because he can't turn the corner or get off the block. I wasn't even looking for it at the time but Lynch' hand work stood out with how violent and active he is with them. I see none of that from lemon. Just a whole lot of trying to out race the tackle.Originally posted by thl408:Disappointed in his play in week 1.Was he only going up against Tyron Smith, who is a very good LT? Like I said though, I could easily be wrong and I hope I am.
