Alex is 3/9 for 116 yards No Tds or ints

Kraep is 4/16 for 129 yards 1 TD and 1 INT

fake stats, lol

Kap is 4 for 15 (not 16) for 129

http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/splits/_/id/14001/colin-kaepernick

The rest is correct.

but he had 2 TDs to VD over 21 yards on sunday.

Probably not updated for this week's games then.

Either that, or it's talking about more than 21 yards in the air, and not just gains of 21+.

You know what....this is what it is...it specfically says passes thrown. There's also a line for passes thrown behind the LOS. So mystery solved.

one was a 35 yards in the air and the 60 yarder was even deeper.

Even with that, Chiefs could have a collapse. I want them to hurry up and win 8 because I have a bad feeling Reid is getting figured out. Teams are focusing on the underneath routes and forcing deep throws.

Chiefs passing game has gotten worse with each game.

With HOU, CLE, BUF, DEN, WAS in the next 5 weeks, and the way their passing game is struggling, they may be lucky to get 1 or 2 wins out of that.

I'm having trouble seeing how you think those 5 games look even remotely tough. Houston is 2-4 and missing their QB. Cleveland is 3-3 and missing their QB. Buffalo is 2-4 and missing their QB. And Washington is 1-4, from the worst division in football (and a division that is 0-3 against the Chiefs). That looks like 4-1 or 3-2 at worst, just on the strength of the defence and Charles.

Have you seen the teams HOU, CLE, and BUF have played? They are much tougher than their record whereas the Chiefs are weaker than their record. KC has now struggled against TEN and OAK. Also, KC is not playing well offensively.

HOU has a monster DL and top running game.
CLE is still a solid team.
BUF can also play very well

Joe, these teams will be tough but to insinuate that the Chiefs will automatically lose because Alex is not an all world QB is a bit much. There's no schedule easy enough out there to get to 6-0, period. Tennessee, Dallas have beaten a combined six teams so far and just played two top NFL teams very tough.

Let's just focus on the only subject that really matters.....can AS go deep in the post season?

Even the biggest defenders are still somewhat skeptical of it. Last year with new WRs and year 2 in SF offense some thought it might happen but Harbaugh put CK in and that was that.

Now we'll get to see if anything has changed. Probably not, but always gotta be hopeful.

BTW, in slight defense of AS.....

Two QBs who have ranked higher than him who have been exposed as having similar "cannot come from behind abilities" last year were:

Matt Schaub and Joe Flacco.

The Green Bay sunday night game where Rodgers threw 6 TD passes in Houston was crazy. And when Baltimore went to Houston and fell behind a bit, Flacco did nothing. He also did nothing in the season opener this year once things got out of hand.

AS has a few games a season where he looks like a top QB. If he can get a hot game or two in the playoffs with the way the rest of the Chiefs are playing, anything is possible.
"On the last play I was on the sideline screaming for a timeout because we had called a play that had no pressure answer. Colin (Kaepernick) did the best he could with the signal and the throw. I'm sure if the coaches had to do it over again they'd call something with a better pressure answer." -- Alex Smith

Alex needs to throw more. Too easy to stop him: keep the defense focused on 0-10 because Alex won't throw it if a WR is even.

So Kap is actually taking a hit on his stats due to deep balls attempted. Just think how much higher his percentage may be if he attempted less.

if it was that easy they wouldnt be 6-0...he has beaten 3 pretty good qbs in head to head match ups this year...manning romo and vick
Chiefs thread, yo! Not sure why you guys are still talking about Kraep when there is already a Kraep thread in Niner Talk!!!! (looking directly at you, JoeCool)

You can say things like that about pretty much every non-jaguar team in the league. Sagarin ratings (which include SoS) has Cleveland at 21, Buffalo at 24, and Houston at 26. These are bad teams, and with Weeden, Lewis, and Yates in place of Hoyer, Manuel, and Schaub you can knock them each down a level or 2. KC is in a very different class. Assuming no catastrophic injuries, 2-2 is their worst-case scenario in the next 4. Yes, they should lose at Denver, but they are too good at home to lose to Yates or Weeden. Maybe Buffalo pulls out a home win. But I doubt it.

I simply responded to someone who mentioned him but it stopped there. Should be looking directly at someone else.
