We're going to have two Second round picks and three Third round picks in the 2014 draft.

wonder if we will see a D Bowe sighting today ?

i dont believe he stepped out on the 4th quarter catch...would be nice if refs let those types of plays go--if they miss it replay can also fix the call (unless the defense is out of challenges or it is too close to overturn)

During the time period Alex was being shopped a very small group of 49ers fans around the net very astutely pointed out that Alex was an experienced elite NFL game manager QB just entering his prime years who had already QB'd an NFL team to within 2 muffed punts of a Super Bowl and who had a recent starting QB record that was somewhere around 20-5-1. They argued that Alex's trade value was worth a couple of 1st round picks 15-20th overall one in 2013 and one in 2014 I agreed then and I most certainly agree now. GO ALEX GO!!

Oh...and it was shown during the game TV broadcast today since 2011 Alex has the #1 winning record amongst all starting NFL QB's I think it is now approx 25-5-1.

would have been nice if ballke had added to the trade if kc gets 12 wins then niners can swap their 2nd for chiefs 1st rd pick

It's pretty awesome to see Smith doing so well. But, it's pretty painful to see Marcus Cooper doing so well. How did the team let that guy go - the Niners really could use a corner like him and I really thought he was going to stick during the preseason. But, SF is still up at fourth in pass defense yardage allowed. Not bad.

cooper is such a unique size for a corner--not too many who are 6-2 and move like he does
smith threw 4 straight passes to chad hall on 1st drive...wonder if they saw something...aj jenkins gets chewed out by reid for lackluster blocinbg effort on run late in game---im beginning to think that jenkins just lacks heart to compete

Trades for conditional draftpicks are rarely formatted that way.

Been saying this for a while. Followed the guy on Twitter and he just seemed like a guy who is just happy to collect an NFL check. He graduated from Illinois with a decent degree, seems like he's using the NFL to give him a decent start on life. But if he actually used his talent, he could be a decent 2-3 receiver. He had huge hands and runs a decent route.

Bye Bye Whitner and Rodgers!!! If we dont come out of this draft with a top flight corner safety and WR to line up opposite of Grabtree then my faith will be wavering in this f/o.
Little late to the Alex Smith Vindication Party, but thought I'd just drop this here:

Chiefs win (3 more!), Seahags lose, all that's left is for us to handle business.

That's a decent comment

I and quite a few other people around here were surprised when they didn't put him on the 53 man roster. And, like you say, Chad Hall is performing and getting open for Smith. And then there's Jenkins. If it wasn't for Jenkins, you'd have to wonder why so many players that the Niners dismissed are doing so well with the Chiefs. I'm hoping Baldwin starts producing a little more so there is at least something to be happy about with Niner roster moves this season.
wrong thread...
