Notice, Smith was not very good in nearly half of his games. Notice the QB's who are more notable for being inconsistent or rookies. Also, these guys take more risks than Alex. Not only is Alex inconsistent, he actually tries to play safe. Imagine of some of those other QB's played safe. Alex is not very good.
Now Colin played on the same team and number of games yet only had 1 game under 80.
Aaron Rodgers: 0
Peyton Manning: 1
Colin Kaepernick: 1 ()
Ben Roethlisberger: 2
Matt Ryan: 3
Drew Brees: 5
Tom Brady: 5
Alex Smith:4 (note, only 8.5 games).
Eli Manning: 6 (down year)
Tony Romo: 6
Matt Schaub: 7
Joe Flacco: 7
Matt Stafford: 8
Andrew Luck: 9
This is false. Alex only went below 80 three
times... and I am left wondering why you used the number 80... so let's just use the number 70 and see what happens...
below 70 games
Rodgers = 0
A. Smith = 1
Big Ben = 1
Drew Brees = 1 ( with three just barely above 70 )
Tom Brady = 1 ( with a couple close 70's )
Matt Ryan = 2
Tony Romo = 3
Eli Manning = 4 ( and 3 of the 4 in a row )
Matt Schaub = 4 ( and two more just above 70 )
Matt Stafford = 4
Joe Flacco = 5
adding in : games of less than 70
Carson Palmer = 1 ( with 3 more just above 70 )
Russell Wilson = 3
Josh Freeman = 3 ( with 3 more just above 70 )
Andy Dalton = 4
Cam Newton = 4 ( couple just above 70 )
Jay Cutler = 4 ( another just above 70 )
Phillip Rivers = 4
Sam Bradford = 5
Ryan Tannehill = 6 ( and not even counting the game where he threw only 5 passes )

So clearly, all of these quarterbacks have had stinkers mixed in, eh? You have anything else to add on just how inconsistent Alex is compared to other quarterbacks now, joe?
