I am sick and tired of this 14-2, 13-3 garbage.

You people are too negative, just as you were about Russell Wilson before last season.

Open your friggin eyes. This is a great team that will dominate.

This season will be the biggest thing to hit Seattle since the '79 Supersonics - bigger than the 2001 Mariners, because this team will go all the way as the most dominant NFL team ever.

You people make me sick. I don't even want to be around people who aren't capable of seeing how good the Seahawks are. You are buzz-kills. You are not true Seahawk fans. You should not be allowed to wear #12. You shouldn't be allowed to step foot in Century Link.

This is the Russell Wilson argument all over again. It should be obvious how good this team is. Get your acts together, or get out. We don't want you jumping on our bandwagon after it becomes clear how dominant they are.

You make me sick.

LOL.
I gave up on my account getting activated. It's just not that serious. IMO, any mod that feels like he/she needs to personally email people to explicitly tell them what they can and can't discuss takes the internet way too seriously.

If people having an opinion different from yours bothers you that much, never mind a forum...what does that say about your life?

Yeah, nobody would ever exaggerate with predictions about the 49ers...

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/445197-san-francisco-49ers-2010-season-predictions-nothing-short-of-perfection

which resulted in...

http://www.sfgate.com/sports/article/Mike-Singletary-fired-after-49ers-eliminated-3242283.php

Also speaks to what kind of team Harbaugh and Baalke took over. Young, talented... didn't hear any talk like that about Seattle when PC started.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/322335-breaking-news-seattle-seahawks-fire-head-coach-jim-mora

which resulted in...

http://seattletimes.com/html/seahawks/2012201588_hawk25.html

and eventually an 11-5 record and a really good rivalry with a certain bay area team that you may have heard of.

It's April and the hawks don't have a first round pick in the draft to consume our every thought. What is wrong w/ having a little fun with predictions?

Does the phrase "tongue in cheek" mean anything to you? You pretty much picked the worst example to prove your point.

LOL the 2001 Mariners didn't accomplish s**t

Not at all. He was clearly stating that it was a "why not run with it" prediction (which I am not criticizing). Simply pointing out that there's nothing wrong with (as I said) having some fun w/ predictions.

Wrong. First team in history to win 116 games and NOT win it all.

If that Seahawks poster had said the same thing, I don't think we would all be laughing at him.

My point exactly they didn't accomplish s**t ...

The only thing that the Mariners have done is waste the careers of Ken Griffey Jr. and now Felix Hernandez

I'm fairly certain that the BR author (writing professionally) is better served, providing a disclaimer when making such claims whereas posting on a private forum about "your team" aimed at an audience of (take with a grain of salt) like-minded individuals wouldn't require such a disclaimer.

Point being... lighten up hoss!

In fairness, you added the "young and talented" part. When Harbaugh took over, we had Alex Smith at QB who virtually everyone (except Harbaugh) had long written off. I read plenty of articles where Jed York was criticized for not hiring a more experienced GM AND head coach (the media crush at the time was Michael Lombardi and Jon Gruden).

Also, I remember the pundits saying that Coach had his work "cut out for him" and we likely would not be relevant for another 2-3 years, assuming we find a QB (of course, one that the media approves of).

And even when we started to win games the conversation changed to "but yea sooner or later they're gonna have to get more out of Alex Smith." Only after we beat New Orleans in the divisional game last year did I think people were ready to accept that we are good team.....until we lost to the Giants.

Then it was all just a fluke.

Funny thing about all this is, y'all signed a few known names during free agency and the pundits have already handed you the division crown and a Super Bowl berth.

Because Harvin, "42-13," and all that jazz.

I don't know about anyone else, but I absolutely can't wait to hear the excuses once the season starts....
