While I am happy for Akers, I just don't quite understand why Detroit went for it.
That reminds me to bring up Havard Rugland. I still don't quite understand why wouldn't an NFL team touch him ? I was hoping the 9ers would work him out at least even I am not complaining at all that we got Phil Dawson.

I still appreciate the excitement that Akers provided a couple years ago. He's totally finished imo and his expression after each missed kick said it all. Best of luck to Akers!
