At some point I do believe they'll turn it around. However, I also believe that 2013 is going to be another tough season for them. 2014 won't be much better. But things might begin to turn in 2015.
The Oakland fan base has just been decimated. No comments on the Sac Bee article finalizing the trade for Flynn. Not a one.
pro-longed losing will do that to a fan base. Its been a decade plus since they were relevant in the NFL.

About right on2015.
The wars are won in the trenches and Oakland isn't a FA target. Flynn will need protections and their DLine will need more than Floyd. So if they are smart and don't morgage the franchise for 1-2 players they can build through the drat and 2nd-3rd tier FA.
Then it will still take some luck.

A couple thoughts: I wouldn't be too worried as a Niner fan about Palmer. I think the Cardinals allowed something like 57 sacks last year with QB's who are shiftier in the pocket than Palmer ever has been. In the NFC West, he's going to get absolutely pummeled.
And, Hawks fans have been honking on about how the Niners have no experienced backup behind Kaepernick. Now, they can shut up about that.

I don't get this move. Why not start Pryor? He's raw as hell, but they have to find out exactly what they have in him.. If he fails, no biggie, 2013 was a losing season anyways. At least he's got a shot at being the future. Flynn is not the solution. He's simply not talented enough to take a team to the next level. It's a waste of time to sit Pryor and start Flynn.

I agree. I doubt either guy will be very good, but Pryor does have greater upside. I guess they're just hoping that one of those guys can win legitimately win the starting job as opposed to just giving the job to the least worst option.

I don't know about all that. Flynn really hasn't had a fair shake, yet. And the 2 times he's played he looked good. I think the jury is still out on him.

I actually like this pick for the Faiders , Flynn is more of a true WCO QB , and fits better with what they want to do
