That has led some people to wonder if there might be an opening to trade tight end Tony Gonzalez. Doing so would land the Falcons draft picks they need to build up their offensive line and defense while also allowing Gonzalez to close out his career for a team that's in contention. A question about a possible trade even popped up in Gonzalez's old stomping grounds. Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey said he's "frugal with those draft picks" before saying he wasn't ruling anything out.

"No, it's not a no," Dorsey said, via Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star. "We have to analyze each situation. That's kind of what that is."

Its all smokescreens and poker faces but you know he'd consider it if Gonzalez meant the different between just making the playoffs and actually making some noise. Right now the Chiefs have the 5th seed on lockdown because we all that Denver is winning that division.

Well, if they did get Gonzalez before their regular season match up, could be interesting. KC has a good D and an offense runs and makes minimal mistakes. Denver doesn't do well against Tight ends

He (his agent) would be stupid not to entertain a trade offer back to KC. The AFC has just a few teams who can actually make the SB and it could put the Chiefs practically even with Broncos. Everyone knows an elite TE is Alex's best friend (see NO @ SF, 2011 playoffs).

OMG the blocking would be insane

FUUU Patriots would be a crazy fit.
If he went to Denver....Goodell would rig everything possible to get him and Peyton rings.

We certainly could use him. That's for sure.
I think Gonzo is either on something or a prideful fool if he didn't listen to trade offers from;

49ers
Broncos
Chiefs
Pats

With the 49ers he could be that piece that rejuvenates a sleeping giant and sends them on another playoff run.

Going back to the Chiefs would make them a clear cut contender in the AFC, and would only enhance his legendary status in KC.

Having Gronk and Gonzo would be just what the Pats need to compete with the Broncos. Imagine how deadly that team would be with a healthy Amendola, Ridley, and Vereen.

Broncos... adding Gronk to this team would be plain unreal and makes them HEAVY favors to win the Super Bowl.
Personally, I've never liked the guy. Just something about his demeanor. Glad he won't get the chance to get anywhere near Jerry's records.

The 2nd greatest highlight Monday Night was that shot of him on the bench after the score, staring out into the crowd with the saddest expression ever, looking like he was about to cry.

That was just the perfect cherry on top of a perfect, epic final night!
dudes wife is the foinest of the WAGs. i'd be at home tapping that sweet sweet ass all year if i was him

An incredible tight end--maybe the best tight end to ever play the game.

Will be in the HOF.

He has been a credit to the NFL.

And as far as I know a good man.
Do not really know him but have seen him at a couple of parties.
Acquaintances of mine who know him have only good things to say about him.
