But Johnny Jolly now has the ability to look for a chance.
According to Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the former Packer was reinstated by the NFL, effective Monday.
Jolly was suspended indefinitely in 2010, and served six months after a string of arrests for illegal possession of codeine.

He was pretty good last I saw him play, I dont think he goes to, or want him in SF, but if Russell can launch a comeback, I bet Jolly can. Certainly has more talent, and is about the same weight wise. I can see him latching on somewhere for a minimum and try and get his life back in order.
