I agree he is the best but it IS close.

Willis had an off year this year, mostly due to injury. He was not his usual self. Bowman, OTOH, had another great year and should have been co-DPOY, IMO.

Teams have learned stay awaay from willis. Then they have to deal with bowman. But Willis is the one they are avoiding because he brings the pain and they know it. Watch some of our int returns. O-Linemen don't even try to engage willis. He will drop the boom.
with our crazy killing LB corps we are just a few secondary picks away from being top killer def of all time.

Make a case. The blanket statement followed by "and it's not even close" eliminates any and all credibility.

So does the handle 'Pumpernickel'

Willis and Bowman also have to deal with the each other.Kinda hard to get tackles when Willis is right there all the time.Luke is all alone

James Andrews will perform the surgery. Doctors seem optimistic 6–8 months recovery time. But he realistically be practicing before the season starts?

Don't doubt him. If it can be done, he'll be ready. If we open against the seacoks, he'll be ready.

But Bowman still put better numbers than Luke despite having to deal with Willis.

NaVorro Bowman's ACL surgery has concluded, per source. It went well.
ANyone who speculates about Bowman coming back in 2014, for opening day, for the seashawks game or whatnot will be summarily SHOT IMMOLATED and DEFENESTRATED simultaneously.

This guy is way way too important to get greedy about. Let the rehab takes its course and let him return naturally with a comfortable ramp up. If he's in uniform in 2014, great. If he needs longer no problem. I can't imagine him practicing before Thanksgiving. Contact by December, maybe. If not that's cool too.
