As others have reported, Andy Reid no longer plans to visit Arizona. Close to a deal with Chiefs, according to source.

The day it was announced that he was joining the 49ers, I was down in Tucson, got all super excited about it....and then a few minutes after that news came through, information about the shooting, just a few blocks from where I was working started coming in and it ended up turning into a really kind of crazy, nutty day. Made it hard to enjoy the good news after all the buildup and back and forth during the prior week and a half.

I have a feeling Ried is gonna fail in KC or anywhere else. To me he just seems like a burned out coach who cant motivate a team to play anymore.

Whether Andy Reid's options with other teams are real or not, it is Bob LaMonte's job to convince the Chiefs they are real.

Remember when Brad Childress was a candidate in GB; LaMonte convinced Minn he was more than just a candidate, hired on the spot.
Chiefs are my AFC team, so id consider a Smith KC jersey.

Haley in AZ would be a disaster. That would be awesome.
Thank you KC.

I would go to one of thier games with a 49ers Alex Smith jersey. If I had one...Hmmm...maybe I'll buy one..bet I could get it cheap.

Rumor has it they offered him a life time supply of KC barbeque...he couldnt pass it up.

so-so the past couple of years for various reasons, before that has been incredible... I think getting away from Philly is going to be such a huge refresher for him, sure he probably should have taken off a year but for a guy who has coached 14 years consecutively I;d say it's his choice.

i don't get the concept of an AFC team? There's no such thing.

But since i like the kings and warriors, i can KINDA understand that logic; but mines is due to geography. Why is KC your afc team?
