Well, the latest "power rankings" are out from ESPN, if you put much stock in that. I don't, but it's a decent barometer of what the talking heads on the East Coast are thinking. Turns out, they are starting to take notice of the "weakest division in football", yes, our very own NFC West. The latest edition has both the 49ers and Seahawks in the top 5.
I find it strangely satisfying that after all we have endured (us winning the division at 7-9 comes to mind) over the past several years, we now post 2 teams in the top 5 in the league, according to the ESPN yahoos.
We may not like each other very much, well, we actually hate each other. But in the words of Wes Mantooth, "Deep down in my stomach, with every inch of me, I pure, straight hate you. But God damn it, do I respect you."

Here's to a strong run in the playoffs guys, and hopefully meeting up in the 'Stick for round 3 of the best football in the league this season.

I could see the Niners vs. Seahawks battle for the division title next couple of years until the other rivals catch up. Yeah, won't be referred to NFC "Weak" anymore.

Power rankings never fail to give me a good laugh, how they are always basically a ranking by W/L record, with a few minor variations. I highly doubt any of those voters genuinely believe Atlanta is the NFL's #2 team.
