I know. It was just a mandatory "he's only partly serious" post by me. Now back to my coffee and college basketball.

I don't see that happening to Brock he is our best cover CB and is top 5 in INTs this year and he didn't start the year

Brock doesnt give up a ton of big plays. Id worry more about Reid being over aggressive. Brock is great at timing his jumps to the route, and seems to do so only when hes got help to back him up.

If we let teams hang around, not generate any pressure by rushing only 3-4 guys, then yes.
Patton!!!
He brings more good to the table than bad. That much is obvious. He has a knack for the game changing play. And you can't teach that.

I love how he fights for the ball and gets in the way of the catch but that is exactly what he didn't do on those two long pass plays. For some reason he looked really un-involved on those plays, not aggressive at all, not fighting for the ball at all. It did seem like they were targeting him for deep passes in the second half, that is not a good sign. Granted though Carson Palmer is pretty good at those throws, but so is Aaron Rodgers.

So tell me why we were playing such soft coverage when it is clear that every single one of our corners excel at staying in the WRs hip pocket and contesting the route/catch from start to finish?

Even if Brock didn't have a great game from start to finish they made him look foolish on a couple of plays cause of this bizarre coverage.

I think, susweel is right. Brock was trouble for cost last Monday but saved for us a victory. And he gave him a td today.. He seem not very well playing.. He need keep coverage and keep close on a guy and chase guy than avoid away guy..
The td he gave up today made me lose all faith in him. He watched the guy catch it and didnt even try make a play.
