I'm with you. Did they do this poll last year. Just curious how one great year jumped us in national popularity.

The Cowboys are the most popular because they get televised on free local TV the most. I watched a piece on the NFLN once which showed they started this practice before they were the most popular team in America, and inevitably because they were doing this they became the most popular team in America.
So they were a winning team and filled the void of fans looking for a team to watch consistently on the tube. America's team was born and they have not stopped since. Even today, the odds of turning on your TV on Sunday and not seeing the Cowboys is low

Yeah, especially since I remember all the games before last season where half of Candlestick would be empty.

Who cares. I wish we were last, so we would have more haters when we win our 6th.

No surprise here. Those 7 teams are very popular, GB, NYG, NE, PIT, and NO all have won a SB recently, with CHI going to one, and of course Dallas is "americas" team, or whatever bs it made out to be. Plus of the top 8, all of them besides New Orleans have a storied history. Before Brees, Saints were nothing. Maybe Pats too, Brady came along and damn they become relevant.
Jags is funny ranking. No wonder they don't sell out each game at home. Bengals at 30 surprises me right now, even though they had there bad moments, they are a pretty good team right now.

I'd rather be hated.
Gives me much more motivation.
After we will the Super Bowl, the fair-weather fans will come back - as if I care.
