I will judge AJ by the beat writers... granted its not the best way, but lets look at last offseason. The most hated person on the niners was a Mr. Williams, and he showed up and answered all doubters by being the best conditioned and most improved WR, and it was noticeable by every writer that covered the niners.

Now it's AJs turn, he now knows what he has to be able to do to be successful, so what strides did he make in conditioning? We've seen the pics of Kaep from this offseason, now lets see how AJ has developed.
i will judge him by his productivity on the field

I will judge him by cool his shoes look

Will judge by if hands go on z hips
Seems like our draft shows a little confidence towards AJ.

Great point NinerBuff. I'm pretty sure if Trent didn't have confidence in him we most likely would have picked up another WR by now. Especially with prospects such as Hunter and Allen available for the taking.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing what this kid has to offer this year.

Boldin is much more a replacement of Moss than a knock on AJJ imo.

It still takes away reps and playing time. Picking up a sure fire starting receiver when your trying to win the starting job is never a good sign for a young receiver.

Point taken.

They do fill 2 completely different roles at WR though. So perhaps AJJ wont miss out on as much as you would expect.

Not sure about this at all. Just trying to keep a positive outlook on last years #1 pick. I want so bad for it to work out for us.
With Moss gone, AJ Jenkins can now be the one to take the top off a defense.

He needs to shine in the offseason on he'll get buried on the depth chart again. This is a deep team and he has fierce competition.
I hope he's not Jason Hill 2.0.

Not deep at the WR position though. After Crabtree and Boldin, there's noone. It's not as if he's got a huge mountain to climb. If he cannot outshine the rest, that'll be a bust first-rounder. For a first round pick, he should be no worse than #2 by his third year, which means that he has to show signs this season.
