From a professional standpoint, there's too much at stake to make a mistake.

And it's very difficult to hear yourself singing in a stadium like that. Usually what they do is
play the backing track and mix it with the live vocal. So it's not 100% lip syncing, rather they
are doing a 60% / 40% vocal sound mix.

It wasn't necessarily bad but it felt like that halftime show was something straight out of bizzarro world.

I liked Petty's, the best one of recent memory was Prince IMO

oh, i don't expect them to fully perform live. but walking around like that and clearly faking it would make me feel stupid.
