so that touchdown pass to that cowboys tight end WOULD be an ideal play for Vernon. Vernon is good in open space even though he has hands of stone. How come our offense cannot show any ingenuity? I think Harbaugh have to call the plays from here on out.

I don't think he was ever an OC in the NFL or NCAA prior to the 49ers gig. His prior experience in the NFL were position-specific jobs, working as an OL coach to a QB coach. In the NCAA at Stanford, he had a wide variety of duties, but he was not a de facto offensive coordinator.

Harbaugh has said the same thing about the 49ers coaching staff, Roman, Solari, Rathman, etc have all "called" plays. But at the end of the day, Harbaugh had final say.
Roman is smart, but the gameplan was awful today.
