Ok..back on topic.
Shaun Hill, was sent packing and traded to the Detroit Lions a year ago. The question is why?
We Had a QB coming off from Injury, with a sub-par player also on the team in Troy Smith.
Detroit came a calling looking for a back up QB incase Stafford Struggled or got injured(which ended up happening...Hill put some excitement might I add when he played for that Detroit Offense).
Why would we have just given up Shaun Hill for a 7th round pick, who was the best back up option on the team incase Alex Smith sucked or went down. I still until this day never got that.
Many say on top of McCloughan's drunken ways... After he traded away Hill, and chose to sign David Carr...the 49ers wanted to get rid of and had enough of Scotty. Thats what Ive heard and have been told.
So we are a talent riddled team..giving up serviceable players..whether they are important backups or potential starters.... 7th rounders are 1 in 20 dozen.
So until this day.. Shaun Hill in my eyes is a very much serviceable to in Detroit.... yet the 49ers are unable to find a Great 1, 2 or 3 on the QB Depth Chart.
Still Disagree about that trade. had too let it out.
