You're right. Could have been Sing's. Weren't there rumors that Baalke and Sing argued in the war room over picking Mays?
They weren't rumors, there was visual evidence of it since they were streaming the War Room during the draft. Singletary was in control and Baalke wasn't the GM yet, he was still just the personnel head who was filling in the day-to-day work of the GM since McC left and they hadn't hired one yet.
Also makes me think Sing was in on the "lets move up and grab Davis" mentality.
It is likely, but in defense of that pick, Davis was universally acknowledged as the tackle with the most upside in the draft. He was just raw as hell and will probably come around. He needs work still, but he wasn't that bad last game lined up against Mario.
