Basically, it says we have 15.77M in cap space. This was before we signed Lawrie Im assuming.

Now, i have us just over 10M, so the only way these seem right is, if they factor the 3M exemptions(3 $1M designated to a player with 4 or more yrs in league, and on the roster before the lockout ended)

I have a hard time tho believing STL is over the cap. Notice They are 822K over the cap.

Everyone is quite a bit under the cap. What is the deal?

Teams like TB, KC, CIN, JAX, BUF. CLE and DEN are alot under as seen. I think without a minimum spending not in effect until 2013, this is a way to get these teams like Mike Brown(CIN) to not spend.

The only teams in their that have a legit shot at playoffs are TB and maybe KC. KC used a good chunk when they extended Hali.

It is suprising tho for a team like JAX, they signed Posluzny to a big deal. And of course teams went easy and didnt spend a lot. CIN and BUF are examples.

Same with CLE.

Then you have the teams with limited funds. OAK, MINNY and even STL who for some reason are over the cap, which I quite dont understand why they are allowed to be. But i suspect their might be a rule where they have like a week to get back under.

Also reminder, these are the top 51 salaries on each team, all the teams have a higher Dollar Amount total, but the top 51 count against the cap in the offseason/pre-season period.

Some of these numbers might include the 3M exemptions, but its unclear if it does.

Notice some teams have more cap limit than others, like PHILLY has 125M instead of 120M, those are from previous incentives that were rolled over from 09, the last capped year.

Are teams waiting for cuts to assign their remaining money -OR- just saving the money until there's a cap minimum?

York is probably trying to save as much money as he can for 1) stadium 2) future franchise QB and/or 3) extending some players during/after this year.

Lol what does the stadium have to do with the salary cap.

Doesn't, cap room has no effect on a stadium.

Stadium comes from

1. Owners pocket
2. Tax Payers dollars
3. NFL League funding
What a surprise, most of the teams in the top 10 on this lost suck.

Exactly, so saying he's saving cap money because he wants to build a stadium isn't logical.
