I think he's retired.
Too bad it all went this way. He was da best NT in football in his prime and a nice follow up to Abrayou Franklin, who was the same status before him. We had been blessed at the position, from these 2, to Sopoaga, all the way back to Silver medalist Michael Carter., But we refused to draft it in the last 5-6 years and it showed!!! We need to get Mitchell a competent backup who can give us depth and revive the legacy..
Whaaaaat?

We have mike purcell!!!!!

He had it coming after he didnt disclose his injury and signed a long term deal so that by the time we found out, we couldnt replace him. One of the reasons our run game sucked so badly. We could of went out and got Snacks

Trent said he knew about the follow up surgery but wasn't aware to the extent of the injury. Funny how this happened to a lot of 49er players.

It was another surgery to fix a surgery that didn't heal correctly. He's always has ankle/lower leg problems and multiple surgeries on his left ankle/lower leg.

Maybe he wasn't truthful on how he was feeling or maybe thought he could go full speed on it because he was told he'd be good to go after the last surgery. When the time came to pass the physical and he couldn't then they had to resend the long term contract.

The media made it sound like he was screwing around and got hurt in the off season then tried to hide it.
