Niners are 26th- Widespread changes on defense raise questions about 49ers' short-term prospects. (Sando)

Given our recent lack of success and bringing Alex Smith back, that seems like a reasonable spot for us to be ranked.
These rankings change significantly after a few weeks anyway, so stay tuned...
Oh, and it's ESPN, so that immediately reduces their credibility

In the NFC West, I would flip the order of Seattle and Arizona. Seems about right for now if you just look at the NFC West teams on paper. We'll see what happens as the teams start playing.

Niners 11 teams worse than the Rams? Weren't the Rams at 7-9 in 2010 just one game better than the Niners? Didn't we beat them once last year? Didn't Singletary lose to them last year? Did the Rams improve that much since last year?

There is just no way the Rams are in the top half of the league. Sorry. And they're certainly not better than Detroit.
Also, this Kevin Kolb cock sucking is ridiculous. Yes, the Cardinals got a QB. A QB with a 75 QB rating last year on a vastly superior offense (3rd in the NFL in points). That offense has Fitzgerald and uh... nothing else. No RB that a D-coordinate cares about, an average at best o-line and zero WR depth.
The concerns about the Niners are obvious, no complaints there.

26 seems about right. Nobody will rank them higher with alex smith as the starter. This is basically a ranking of qb's.

Since we haven't done anything in to really prove ourselves I say Good! 26 is fine and when we finish the season we can rub their faces in it.
BTW - who did he predict to win last year?
