It's important to ask yourself, "If Percy Harvin was a Niner, would I accept this trade?"

But if I was mike singletary was niner fan would he make the trade?

I'd trade crabtree for Harbin and his migraines straight up.

Ah but they won't think Mays is s**tty. Considering Sing fought for him in round 2 and is close with Frasier (former teammate), and Frasier used to be a safety himself and probably thinks he can coach him up with all those gifted physical tools, they may be salivating over him...and you can certainly do worse than Morgan as a #2 or 3 receiver, and Ginn replaces his role as a return specialist.

lol so because their new D Coor. liked Mays in the 2nd round, the front office is going to automatically think hes gold?

the Vikings, along with the rest of the NFL, think Percy Harvin is a budding star playmaker. they arent going to trade him for 3 guys we dont really care about.
No

It would take a lot more than that. Maybe Crabtree, Mays, and a first. Especially now that they dont have Sidney Rice anymore.

LOLLLLLL I wouldnt't trade Crabtree alone for Harvin, let alone throwing a first in there. This is Percy Harvin guys, not Andre Johnson...it's not like the dude is a superstar- he averages 57 yards and .38 TD's per game.

Harvin now > Crabtree. He can catch the ball, run the ball, and is a great returner.

Correct. And the OP is assuming that Frazier won't think Mays is s**tty and can coach him up. Quit holding out for hope...Sing being in Minny isn't enough of a connection for them to simply "want" him. He can get Frazier's ear and give him his opinion and inside info on Mays but ultimately it comes down to whether Frazier feels he can fit into his defense and if Spielman is also on board with it.

Then the next step is does Mays come at a price that Spielman feels is fair. Trading for Harvin is likely not going to happen barring us offering a much better deal than the OP is trying to make.
Why would the Viks give up Harvin for a safety that no one wants, a lousy WR, and a decent #2 WR. The dumb ass Redskins wouldn't even fall for that s**t.

yeah, hes assistant HC and LB coach like with us. for some reason i thought they gave him DC....He must suck at coordinating even defense, because hes never been a DC before.

Actually, we're just looking at Harvin through the VIKINGS eyes. You haven't considered the fact that Harvin was their 1st round pick (#22 overall) just two years ago, he's 23 years old, he's entering his 3rd season (when WRs usually break out), and he's currently their #1 WR.

Does anyone realize Harvin only averaged 18 more yards per game than Morgan last year?

I don't understand why you're trying to convince us that Harvin isn't that much more productive than Morgan. If you think Harvin provides only "18 more yards per game" and "isn't a superstar", then why do you wanna trade 3 players and a valuable draft pick for him?

Singletary isnt the GM. Hes the linebackers coach. So he wouldnt even have anything to do with Mays if the Vikes traded for him. Since when do the position coaches swing trades giving up playmakers for unproven draft busts? Its a dumb idea, dont try to rationalize it.
This doesn't look so stupid now does it? Morgan before his fluke injury was even more productive (more yards per game plus he had a touchdown which Harvin doesn't) than Harvin despite Harvin being the undisputed #1 option on his team and being targeted 6 times per game, whereas Morgan wasn't even targeted 4 times per game. Plus I mentioned throwing in Ginn (to replace his role as return specialist) and Mays AND a pick. If anything, this trade would be lopsided in THEIR favor.
