HA! Emmit Smith always had an "injury" when he wasn't getting the yards. Never failed. He has a bad game... goes on the injury list. Now HE was the lucky sperm to play on a team with that O-line.
And as I recall, it was our OTHER CB, Eric Davis, that caused Dallas so many problems that game. Whooped that ASS!!
It pisses me off to hear Emmit, Troy, and Micheal say that without Deion they would easily have won that game. Deion definitely contributed by shutting down Irvin, but a lot of other niners hurt them in that game, most notably Eric Davis & Jerry Rice. Oh by the way Troy, Irvin was guilty of pass interference 3/4 plays he was on the field...
e hadthe number 1 defense WITHOUT deion i believe......

They lost the NFC Championship game badly. It wasn't even close. Deion played a role, but to think it was all him is ludicrous.
It wasn't that much of a route. They tried to make it close in the second half. In fact there is a deep throw with Deion covering where you could make the case it was pass interference. That would have setup a 1st and goal. If they score they are only down like 7 maybe. But they didn't and then we scored again.
The big play was the Young to Rice TD at the end of the first half. f**king love watching that video. God damn what a throw and catch.

The most awesome thing ever.
That throw is so f**king sick. Oh how I wish we could see QBing like that again.

Yeah, I'm sure Deion really played a big role in the 21-0 first quarter hole they dug themselves in that game.
To start the game, we put Sanders on Harper to start the game and Dallas didn't know how to counter it. That's one of key reasons why Davis got that pick 6.
The rest was Dallas just screwing up (much to my joy). Those three turnovers led to 21 points and Deion had little to do with it.
Getting Ken Norton, Gary Plummer, Richard Dent and Ricky Jackson helped a lot as well.
Not sure why this makes you guys mad. Deion was one of the best corners to ever play the game. You remove him from the team and it's a different ball game.
Dallas dropped 38 on us the year before. Emmitt, Troy, and Irvin are offensive players and they're going to look for their failures and the guys who stopped them on why they lost that game.
I don't think they're trying to disrespect Young, Rice and the Niner offense. It's just them saying that the revamped Niner defense is the reason why we finally beat them.

You really don't need pics for that. You would need pics if you said he had his wife and a bottle of Gatorade instead.
