Whats up with 1 year contracts now?

I have never seen so many 1 year contracts. Is this a fluke because of the express FA season? Or is this going to be a permanent result of the new CBA for some reason?

I read that lot of players are waiting for things/prices to "normalize" next year. We live in crazy times.

The team minimum goes up next year. So the mediocre guys are all signing one years so they can get a better deal when the team has to spend that money.
