Seattle has been rumored to be in the Kolb mix for some time now. That explains why they didn't draft a qb.
You can hate on their line picks but clearly Seattle wanted to address the line and those are the guys they felt fit their system. Do you honestly believe that they want Luck to play under a crap line? Not sure why they would take some busts when those busts will have to be relied upon in the future.

Carroll won't be there next year if they have the top pick. The owner will never be in on it since he will want to sell seats, merch and get TV time.
"Tanking it" would be retarded and almost every aspect of it is out of their control. Players won't "tank it". They're good enough, even without a QB, to get 5 wins. Even if they did try to tank it, they'd still have to hope that another team will not do worse. Another team will certainly do worse.
Tanking a full season does not happen in the NFL. Too many jobs on the line. Players need to look good for their next contract and GMs need to show reasonable effort to either keep their job or find a future position.
Won't happen, doesn't happen, can't happen. Not ever.
Look at their schedule and tell me where they can get 5 wins bro
1.on the road at cleveland? no
2. at home against ATlanta? hell no!
3. on road against pittsburgh? nooo!
4. on road against giants no!
5. at home vs Mike vick and eagles No!!!
6. on road against Bears? NOPE
7. on road against Cowboys? NO
8,9. Any game against the 49ers? HELL NO!!
10. Against the ravens? No
11, 12. Any game against BRADFORD and the rams? NO
Do i have to go on?!?
look at their schedule!!!! and remember they have:
1) NO QUATERBACKS
2) NO DEFENSIVE TACKLES
______
Well, I'd say since they play the Cardinals, 49ers and Rams six times a year...that'd be a good start.
undefeated in the division? sweep the niners?

They definetily have a tough schedule but minus 2 flex games we all play the same thing. They have home games against Wash and Cincinnati and see no reason they can't beat the Clowns.
Seattle is a tough place to play and they swept the division at home last year. They're absolutely capable of putting up 4 wins in the division. Let's face it our division sucks monkey balls and 8-9 wins once again could put you in the driver's seat.

Besides, predicting schedules a year early is always dumb, you never know how good or bad teams will turn out. Did not Seattle have a better record than Sanfran last year?

The argument that the Seahawks are tanking it in order to have the "Lucky" pick next year does not hold water. Even if they succeed in positioning themselves to draft Luck, it is foolish to purposely not draft the best players. Even Luck will need a strong supporting cast.
Besides, one can still draft good players and tank it. If they are good, Keep them on the bench, much like Singletary did.

haha it would be awesome if the dirty chickens tried to tank the season, but I think the Panthers would go and pick first again because Cams gonna be out for the season after the first snap.
Imagine that: Panthers pick 1st overall in the next draft, Cams on the mend, and Luck is projected as the first over all pick . . . .

Rather than tanking, consider the possibility of incompetence.

Yawnnn Tanking the season ... yeaaa that sounds like something a short term coach would do. No owner is willing to see his team purposely flop. And lets be honest until i see what Luck does this year i will not be on his balls like a bunch of you are. Harbaugh molded him and Harbaugh is no longer there. Needless to say with out with out harbaugh he could end up like Jake Locker. Expected to be #1 overall the year that Bradford was taken. Stayed in school and then got hurt and played hurt. Anything can happen and honestly i am willing to see what he can do but refuse to be on his nuts.

My picks are the Redskins, Seahawks, Cardinals and maybe the Jags... I could see the Raiders falling too. I dont know about tanking but definitely candidates for 1st pick
