i guess he deserved it but he had a very mediocre season. if alex smith duplicated that season, people would scoff and say "what a piece of garbage!"
bradford gets recognition for it because he is a rookie. but taking away the fact that he is a rookie and just looking at the season, it was mediocre. near the bottom of the league in most of the statistical categories, never "won" any games himself, always dinking and dunking.
mike williams from the bucs had a great season, even when compared to veteran WR's

damn really? He went to Syracuse, and was a 4th round pick...Pretty impressive

I think he deserves it. I can't think of one other offensive rookie that did anything close to what he did for their team. Stats might be mediocre, but he tripled the win total the last 3 years of the rams.

Bradford also put up these numbers with a mediocre (at best) receiving core. And did this at the hardest position for rookies.

ok he put up mediocre numbers with mediocre talent. congrats to him. i know he is a rookie and i'm not completely shocked he won the award, i'm just saying as a regular qb it was pretty bad. just barely completed 60% of his passes, low YPA, and a pedestrian 76 qb rating.
i suppose you can make any excuse you want. tom brady has garbage receivers on paper but somehow he still gets it done. i don't like excuses in the nfl. i didn't like when people made them for alex and i wont make any for bradford. you are what you are in this league and that's it.
we'll see how he does next year and if he continues to progress but it just seemed like the media went on this sam bradford trip and weren't actually watching any of the games. the rams won their games with rushing and defense
