It's not that they are taking violence out of the sport, they're introducing a bunch of soft rules that benefit pussies and floppers. Football is a physical game where toughness is just as important as your ability to throw a good spiral. Offensive players and more specifically quarterbacks do not need to be tough anymore since they are treated like babies. I want to see a quarterback who still throws a completion even though he knows he's going to get demolished by someone who weighs 50 pounds more than him. That's what makes a good quarterback, not whining to an official saying "but, but, but... he hit me in the head and that's a foul."
