The next few days will go along way for Cam. He stands to make a lot of money over the week, and we all know that is his primary focus.

Not after the comments he made yesterday regarding wanting to be an entertainer and an icon and then basically stating that he accomplished more in 14 games than most people do in 4 years ... I don't think these are the types of comments that Ron Rivera and Carolina are going to swoon over when faced with having to pay $40 million plus guaranteed for a No. 1 pick. He may back up his comments, but you'd like to see him say something like "I want to be the best QB in the NFL and work real hard, blah, blah, blah" than a Hollywood icon.

Wont be making that much... The new CBA will put a limit on rookie salaries.

Maybe ... but you gotta think that the No. 1 overall pick won't be making chump change under the new CBA. Bradford's deal was for $50 million guaranteed? While a pay scale will ensure that number won't be approached going forward you're still committing millions of dollars on an unproven commodity that has obvious maturity/character issues. I don't see Carolina's owner going that route, he's a pretty conservative dude.

I hope he jumps to number 1. Then we won't have to draft him.

I just want someone in front of us to draft him so that we have more chances of getting one of the players we want. Please, someone take Mallet and Gabby too!

I agree Cam may have questions marks but so did vince young and he went 3rd? Vince Young still has problems but he has a good win/ loss record. Even his stats are so-so but the guy still finds a way to win. it more than our Qb's do and more than the first 6 teams picking. Some troubled teams like Buffalo need so much that the owner may just want to sell tickets. Kind of like the Tebow show in Denver. Somebody will see something in him. it will be carolina, buffalo, cincy if the Palmer thing gets worse or Arizona.

I'm really stoked Newton is making a big splash. Just makes it more likely that we will end up with a steal at #7. My dream top 6 would be Cam to Buffalo and Gabbert to Arizona!!!
The only question we will be left to answer is elite pass rusher or elite corner?

A couple guys at the Dolphin forum I frequent wrote this up on Newton for the Sun Sentinel, included with lots of video. It's by far the best writeup I've seen of him so far, i figured I would pass it on to you guys.
