I stopped reading when they put Mike Iupati on that list.

I never started reading when I saw it was a bleacher report link.

That is why I said most, Iupati played well for a rook this year, should be good for years to come for us.

Yeah, like I said, I stopped reading after that.

Just sent that list to the guys at ProFootballFocus.com and here's the reply they gave me:

ProFootbalFocus @gabrielmury Yikes (The yikes is about Iupati). LAwson having a v good season too. Clements is playing well despite THAT play.. Lazy list

Come on Manny has 14 sacks in 5 years 53 tackels this years. Yeah he is good in coverage but he wants top $ next year. Look at Shaun Phillips this year, Nate is too old now he has to give up 10 yards and still gets toast.

Manny doesn't have many sacks bu I read on two stats websites (profootbalfocus and profootballoutsiders) that he is among the top as far as disrupting the pass. Sacks can be a bit misleading.

Don't know much about Clements, though.

EDIT: Here's the link about Lawson: http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2010/11/19/pass-rushing-productivity-whos-making-the-most-of-their-opportunities/

I know that sacks are just a small part of the big picture but on a 3-4 he should have more sacks than Willis. I like him and still want him to be a niner but with him sitting out the off season cause he wants top$ when I don't think that he is worth it as of now. Lot of guys in the NFL come to life year 5+ so I hope he does it for our team than another. Lets go niners!!!!!

Also fired were pass rush specialist coach Al Harris and inside linebackers coach Vantz Singletary, the former coach's nephew.

purging the team of his infection
If York fired S. A month ago when he should of the 49ers would of won the NFC west. But noooooo, he didn't fire him because the niners were in the playoff hunt. Not because of the play of the niners but because of the ineptness of the others teams in the division. Unfortunately York didn't see this and kept S. Until he threw the season away for all of us. Thanks York the Dork!

FYI, according to Ted Robinson on KNBR today, these two assistants were fired b/c they didn't take the news of Singletary's firing very well.

well that is probably because they were family and friends that had no business being on the coaching staff to begin with.
