It is ALWAYS someone else getting the blame for Alex struggles. He was destined to be a big time player in this league huh? Ruin you say? by everyone around him, from his coaches, teamates, slick footballs, it has always been something else.....but most still do not want to just accept that Alex is not a good QB. They say either you have it or you don't. Some blossom later in their careers, like Rich Gannon.....but these types of QBs usually blossom because they finally get legit chances.
Alex had the luxury of having a ProBowl RB, ProBowl TE, good receivers....ALL these players and coaches and FO wanted OH SO MUCH for him to be the guy...he has never really had to deal with teammates, coaches, FO not supporting him.
Alex has not had it as bad as some here like to make it seem.

You mean giving him a chance to start and gain experience?
You mean like hiring Mike Mcarthy, and Norv Turner to help mold this kid into a legit QB?
You mean how he never brought in any competition at QB for Smith so he can get all the 1st team reps?
Then he gave A. Smith more chances even thought Smith continued to fail just because Hostler was in over his head. Remember, Turner bolted last minute to SD and we were stuck with that s**tbag Hostler.
Then Nolan hires a pass happy OC like Martz to help develop Smith and increase offensive productivity.
