What's Fins lack is explosive, vertical plays. Hard to see Pennington, with all those surgeries, providing that element.

Henne great deep ball, but just like at Michigan he doesn't look off defenders and isn't quick with his reads. When his 1st read is open he can sling it in there, but with some congestion in the pocket he's lost and just throws it up for grabs.

I always thought Henne wasn't that good. I watched him all 23 years he played at Michigan. Not surprising.

Isn't that the definiton of Alex Smith? At least Pennington has led his teams into the playofs and won quite a few games.
