I think Romo's injury saved Phillips job for now. He'll still be gone during the off season.

Damn with the number of coaches that a soon to be fired, it is gonna make finding a good coach very difficult.

My only fear is that there will be up to 10 coaches canned after the season and all of the possible HC candidates that we like will go elsewhere, Wade and Mangini will be the best available, and we will be stuck with our dick in our hand.

Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett might pull a Thelma and Louise pretty soon.

Wade is a dead man walking. It's only a matter of time before Jerry Jones pulls the plug on him. I don't see him finishing the season as the HC. Jones will make a move soon to try and salvage the season. Even if it's for no better reason than to spark some moment heading into the offseason. He's on the hot seat for sure.
On the plus side, he'd be a perfect fit for our defense. I'd assume Manusky's biggest influence was Wade.
However, if we make it though the season without a coach getting fired, Mangini will be the first guy dismissed. There's no doubt that he'll be gone as soon as the season is over. He's actually very lucky that he stayed on as the HC this season.

Nobody will be fired before the end of the season. Would love to see if we could get Chilly from MN though. He's not a bad coach, he just sold his soul to Lord Favre hoping it could get him a championship and instead it probably cost him his job.

Which is why I think we have to go hard after Jim Harbaugh of Stanford. And while I understand the rationale to not go after another college head coach (KRS made an astute point about this in another thread), we can surround him with excellent OC/DC talent.
Imagine a coaching staff that consistent of the following:
HC: Jim Harbaugh (WCO guy, young, knows the Xs and Os, develops QBs)
OC: Brad Childress (WCO guy, college and NFL coaching experience, part of the BW WCO)
DC: John Fox for 4-3, Wade Phillips for 3-4
Fox and Phillips are good coordinators, and Childress served on the Eagles staff during McNabb's prime years.
Instead of getting Singletary's former teammates and family members to become coaches, we can actually have a coaching staff similar to the KC Chiefs.

Harbaugh would probably bring coaches from his current staff who have NFL experience.
