I don't know if his knee every recovered after that injury. Much has been made about his steroids, but even without roids he put up 12.5 sacks before he got injured. Has not been the same since.

Lawson, Spikes, Willis, Merriman

Not to shabby, I think Manusky can help turn Merriman into what he was before or at least close to it. He knows how to use Merriman. Please let this happen.

Merriman has one year on his contract. The Niners are pretty much done for. Doesn't make much sense.

Yea I was hesitant to even put that. The second highest is like what 8 sacks with haralson or Laboy? Neither can play to that level anymore. I would cut all those f**kers

At least with Merriman know what he is capable of, but who knows if he will ever reach that level again. I don't think the 49ers have any choice at this point to put a claim in for him.
