Smith doesn't either. His drive against the Saints was as good as any Matt Ryan drive in his career. Smith doesn't have Roddy White or Tony Gonzalez to throw to. And while VD is the superior athlete in comparison with Gonzalez, Gonzalez knows how to get open and is a very intelligent player. VD isn't there yet. And as for White, well, he is one of the best WRs in the league. The 49ers don't have anyone that comes close. Throwing to targets like that inspires confidence in a QB...

Roddy White didn't make the Pro-Bowl until Ryan came along. He has made two since. White had one excellent year before Ryan, two medicore at best before Ryan. Tony G is Tony G, he is a HOF'ER.

The supporting cast around Smith is sufficient. Are you saying the Rams have a better supporting cast? Cause Bradford is doing good...

Ryan is an excellent qb and growing. Alot of people say he had a good running game his first year, but he threw for about 3400 yards as a rookie and would have posted another 3000 yard season but he missed two games. Ryan is a legit Franchise QB.

Ryan played through some injuries as well while missing a couple of games

He did have 22TD against 14 INTs....he just didnt have the year he had his rookie year
